Ahnu Bryant Shoe
I'm just not a tennis shoe guy. If I'm out on the streets, I want a real man shoe. Something made out of leather, with a decent tread. Something like Ahnu's ruggedly stylish Bryant Shoe. There's a lot to like about this decidedly downtown shoe. First, I like the fit. I have a wide foot, so sometimes regular-width shoes are a bit too tight. The Bryant shoes fit great right out of the box. I didn't really need to break them in, and, in fact, wore them for five days straight on my vacation to San Francisco. I did a lot of walking during that time, and they Bryant shoes held up very well. My feet felt great at the end of each day. Next, I like the look of these shoes. At first, I wasn't sure about the two-toned uppers, but the more I wore them, the more I liked them. The Bryant's capped toe reminds me of a dress shoe, the silver lace grommets give the shoe a work boot casualness, and the treaded sole looks like a hiking shoe. Together, these features, along with the contrast stitching, give the Bryant a slightly funky feel that's still laid back enough that my shoes don't scream, "I'm trying too hard." It's great to have a shoe that's both comfortable and appropriate for urban outings. The Bryant is more refined than a trail or work boot or shoe, but is still solid and stable enough for lots of walking. The Bryant Shoe Bottom Line: The Bryant is a great shoe for every day wear, and because it's stable and stylish, it's also ideal for travel when you don't want to pack extra shoes.—B.M.
